Karina Suarez Alcantara, PhD
Research
My
primary research interest is hydrogen fuel cells as a sustainable
production/ storage/ final user energy system. I have experience in
the development of nanomaterials as electrocatalyst for hydrogen fuel
cell, also I have experience in materials for hydrogen storage.
Integration of hydrogen storage and fuel cell systems is a long term
goal. For the appropriate characterization of materials I had used
several techniques including synchrotron techniques such as XANES
(X-ray
Absorption Near Edge Structure) and in-situ X-ray powder diffraction.
Currently
I am working in Ru and Fe complexes as dyes for solar cells,
materials that are related with sustainable energy production.
